The Team Story

Once upon a time, in a land far far away there was a boy. His name was Josh. He dreamed of an object in a place. It was a robot that played soccer. His dream came true. The End.

Just kidding.

The actual team story does however begin with a dream, and a pursuit of a challenge. Our school was presented with the opportunity to have a robotics team. Our school had never had a robotics team, but it did have the perfect facilities to support one. It had a computer lab, and a large mechanical shop. This is where it really begins. Mr. Parrett and Mr. Hixon jumped at the challenge to mentor and coach the first team. However, news of a robotics team to the student population was delayed and thus the team was seemingly nonexistent.  Josh was the first student to join the team. He was alone for a while. Unbeknownst to him an armada of fellow comrades would soon follow. Teachers around the school quickly began recruiting and recommending various students because of their vast array of talents. New recruits began pouring in. These students knew they would be faced with the challenging task of building a foundation for the future. They would go on to eventually build a website, team logos, graphic designs, and metal works. These would all eventually be combined to create a robot. More importantly they would create a foundation for their future careers, and life skills. The team is currently competing in the 2010 First Robotics Competition.
